He probably bought it in the 70s when he had no kids and his salary was higher, compared to the 80s and 90s with inflation, but the same salary.

No, you are not allowed to lie in immigration application forms, it says so right in the title!

I agree, but I think it's easier for the community owners to get user to join their discord channel with one click, than having users to sign up for a forum, create an account, confirm the email, post in the right subforum and also deal with spam and forum maintenance. It's seen as less hassle for admins and users
It's a bus. Elon Musk invented a bus. Now he only needs to invent a time machine, travel back to the 1800s and woo everyone with his new idea.
Most likely because old buildings are expensive to maintain, expensive to heat, must be refitted for modern lights or communication or have asbestos or lead pipes or don't comply with modern building standards, such as accessibility.
There is this old cinema from the 1920s in my town that went out of business in the 1990s. Nobody goes to the cinema anymore to fill the 300 seats, it's a 20min walk away from residential areas and there is no parking nearby. On top of that it needs 30 years of maintenance. Nobody has a good business plan for this building.
The delete account button is still there.
While I agree, I think this solution is some nonsense. I bought a "TV" and paid for all the hardware and software that went into it, but I essentially have to use it as a monitor with my own hardware to escape the enshittification.
Fun fact: instead of cupholders, 1970s cars would proudly advertise the number of ashtrays they had equipped the car with, usually 1 within reach of every seat. This number was equally important as horsepower or price on marketing materials.
They could both live on musk's mars colony, the first rockets are set to start as early as 2018!
I don't believe that you can use traditional algorithms to teach the car street driving, because there are to many different variations of intersections, traffic signs, special conditions like accidents, heavy Rain or fog, road closures or construction sites to get it right every time. Even if your autopilot is 99% correct and you drive 20000km a year, you still drive wrong 200km of it.
This doesn't mean that AI will be better, because then you don't even have a source code to track down where it went wrong to correct it in future updates.
