Im watching this one currently.

can't wait for the empty seats pics

I left mmos due to my wife spending to much on "free" games for awhile. I miss them in some ways but also am sorta glad. They were easy to over indulge in and I have a lot of responsibilities. single player, buy once and done, games along with streaming shows or movies is so much easier to take or leave. No limited events or dailies or anything.

exactly. plenty of folks would love to retire at 50 if they could afford to and not to a jet set life but just to maintain food, shelter, and healthcare.

When did crazy talk become the norm. Was it when trump first ran? Was it before? Its so hard to remember with the constant crazy talk all over.

upvote from me. boromir did redeem himself as the ring is a corrupting influence. Its a fantasy world so morality is not just a construct of emerging sentience. Its a world with actual metaphysical things like magic that can actually do things like mind control. Its more limited than high fantasy but its a thing that exists in the world. Not just some belief passed around.

I don't know anything about the sub but usually agnostic ones where bigger on engaging in religious discussion just like most islam subs or christian subs don't really want to debate what religion is correct. Its a made up mind. I used to be very agnostic and was more into debating but now im very athiest and im no longer really searching in regards to the metaphysical because I have made up my mind its not a thing and its not as fun as debating if doctor strange could beat doctor fate in a fight.

and xmass is the worst culprit. It really annoys me as I like the simple fall type stuff before thankgiving. I totally hate anything xmass wise before the day after thanksgiving. instead it tries to tread on holloween which is nuts.

This is sorta a hornets nest. On the one hand I get that when it comes to tech who cares about the persons personal life but on the other hand when it comes to free software there is a concern over the orgs or individuals that run them given the trust involved. Yes you can rely on the many eyes but you want to be confident of the org (or individual) to begin with.

anyone else feel like these things make it sound like its important to the actor or whoever about the topic rather than them being somewhere and just asked a question so tyring to answer given the framing. ie the questions are tell us about the benefits, importance, impact, etc of whatever. Its like have they actually thought it was impactful or beneficial to begin with.

As I mentioned in another comment we have an example of something like an ai-less desktop anology wise. gui-less installs. They are generally called server version of the distro and are used in datacenters but im 100% sure there are individuals out there running laptops with no gui. Im find with FOSS ai and there are LLM's licensed as such. That being said they are still problematic since the training requires large amounts of data that companies are not exactly strigent with collection.
