All my and my wifes depression come from problems that we cannot really solve. I mean when there is a source of depression I don't really see a solution until the source is rectified. If your depressed because your homeless and living on the streets talking with people will not get rid of it.

I often wonder similarly. comes down to double income. We went from families being raised on 40 hours a week labor to 100 or more.

The biggest fear I have for the country is seeing peoples inability to just stop using things that are being enshittified that are completely optional. I get people have to bank and shop for food and such but no one needs to be using social media or streaming or any crappy internet stuff.

it talks of her generosity and position as a bread winner. I wonder if he wanted her to buy it at some inflated price or some crap. I guess ultimately it does not matter what the stupidity was but for some reason im always trying to figure out the thinking from the nutter in the story. Luckily it does not mention injuries to the daughter although apparently he got himself somewhat but not enough to die.
