It really does suck. I'm lucky that I live in a place where we have a excellent public transportation. For the first time in ages I'm happy that the engine in my shitty Peugeot is broken.

But.. I have a friend who bought herself a nice little house 40min's away from civilization. She was managing quite well, she has a old Toyota Corolla which is cheap to run and upkeep. She's been saving up for a EV but she works in a shop, her salary isn't amazing. And her house has a lot of stuff to fix and all that. It does suck for her. Luckily she has a friend who lives near where she works, she says she can stay there a few nights a week to save on fuel.

I assume you've checked that the drivers are up to date?

Have you tried if it can find other networks that you know are working? For example, use your phone's hotspot thing to creat a wifi, see if Ubuntu finds that, if it does, make sure the connection works. It could be that there's just no other networks in range. Though if you live in a apartment complext that would be weird indeed.

Titles are whatever, but what he said earlier was that they might take part in the opening of the straits, after the hostilities are over. Now he said said that they will never take part in the hostilities. So yeah, more or less the same stuff.

We are not a part of this offensive. Our objective is to protect our nationals and we're putting ourselves in a position to defend them for the next few weeks and months if necessary. ... We are currently setting up a purely defensive, purely support mission whose purpose is to allow as soon as possible after the most intense phase of the conflict the escort of container ships and tankers to gradually reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Sounds like more of the same as in the OP

Nah. Seems like a hassle to go download them every day. Much rather just keep them ready to go.

If your wondering why, pirating games isn’t very seamless on Linux yet,

But playing on a SNES emulator is! :D

I thought about it for years. Then I did the switch and wished I'd done it years earlier.

Then I thought about switching from Ubuntu to something else for years. Then I switched to Debian and wished I'd had done that from the beginning.

I suck with computers, I have no idea what I'm doing 90% of the time, plus I'm dumb as hell in general but I still managed to do the swap with zero issues. Its easier and more straightforward than what people say. Just do it.
