The Israeli army killed a disabled Palestinian man in a targeted strike in southern Gaza at the end of May, claiming he was identified as a "terrorist."

The man was seen in IDF drone footage from Khan Yunis walking with a limp before being struck by munitions launched from either a drone or a loitering munition.

The IDF confirmed the strike, stating that the man had been "identified as a terrorist observing troops and moving between buildings used for terrorist activity."

An investigation by Haaretz revealed that the man killed was Muhammad al-Farra, an older civilian with cerebral palsy resulting from a childhood car accident. He walked with a limp and had special needs. His sister, Heba al-Farra, who survived the strike, identified him in the video.

The US is lobbying foreign governments not to attend a UN conference next week sponsored by France and Saudi Arabia on a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to a US diplomatic cable reported by Reuters.

The cable, sent to countries on Tuesday, warns them against taking "anti-Israel actions" and says attending the conference would be viewed by Washington as acting against US foreign policy interests.

France, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, is a US ally in Nato. Saudi Arabia is one of the US’s closest Middle East partners.

There are now more US troops deployed to Los Angeles than in Iraq and Syria combined, ABC News reports.

There are 4,800 activated national guard and marine personnel in LA, compared to the 2,500 troops in Iraq and 1,500 in Syria.

Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass also just highlighted this during her press conference. She said:

There are reports that if all the military that have been designated to be deployed, if you add them all up it’s more military than are serving today in Iraq.

And the money that is being spent - $134m - all of our cities could use that money.

Israel has placed two international activists from a Gaza-bound aid ship in solitary confinement, an Israeli rights group said on Wednesday.

“Rima Hassan was placed in isolation under inhumane conditions in Neve Tirza Prison after writing “Free Palestine” on a wall in Givon Prison,” it added.

“She was moved to a small, windowless cell with extremely poor hygienic conditions and has been denied access to the prison yard.”

Since the news broke, Israel’s propaganda machine has gone into overdrive, dismissing the Madleen as a “selfie yacht”, a line echoed by western media outlets. “There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip – they do not involve Instagram selfies,” declared a shameless Israeli Foreign Ministry. Israel knows all about those ways, because it has systematically blocked them.

In the past 20 months, Israel has ratcheted up the blockade. Even former prime minister Olmert, for decades a member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, denounced his state for committing grave war crimes as a matter of official policy. On 10 October 2023, for example, Israeli general Ghassan Alian – who headed the Israeli military department supposedly charged with humanitarian aid – declared that the “citizens of Gaza” had collective guilt, and that “human beasts are dealt with accordingly. Israel has imposed a total blockade on Gaza. No electricity, no water, just damage. You wanted hell – you will get hell.” This was just one of multiple statements of criminal and genocidal intent that left no doubt about the crime to come.

According to ProPublica in 2024, it was revealed that the two foremost US authorities on humanitarian assistance concluded that Israel had deliberately blocked deliveries of food and medicine into Gaza. Under US legislation, this should have immediately triggered the suspension of weapons shipments – but the Biden administration did not accept the findings. You may not be aware of either of these reports, because they received precious little coverage from a western media that has deceived its audiences about Israel’s genocidal intent and behaviour.

The Madleen did not make it to Gaza’s shores. Yet its crew exposed an obscenity that has repulsed western citizens, who will one day force their governments to cease their complicity – which is why, in the end, Israel will lose.

A member of the Los Angeles Police Department has announced a major career change, saying they have been drafted into the IDF. This comes after the cop was seen on camera shooting Australian journalist Lauren Tomasi.

“They’re a natural,” said a representative for the IDF, “they’ll fit right in, as long as they stop using those rubber bullets.”

“Plus they even got the media to use a passive voice and not identifying who did it despite doing it on camera. They have the exact skills we look for in a soldier.”
