Any specific brand recommendations? Asking for a friend of course.

Is Mastadon different?

But they don't make them anymore :(

Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking at buying another soldering iron. I'm using a really obscure brand one that I got from my dad and that I have been using since I was around 8 (30 years ago).

I can only get replacement tips in South Africa so was looking for something with more support.

Honest question, how long is the fluid supposed to last? And I'm not talking about burning time. I have a zippo, I fill it, a few weeks later I go to use it and the flame lasts a few seconds as the fuel finishes.

Felt the same about Lemmy when I signed up.

Frying pan (Google) meet the fire (Apple)

They've been doing it in South Africa for decades.

Seriously, learn how to replace the sticks and get TMR sticks. I hate how wasteful people are. That's 10 controllers in the landfill for nothing.

I guess they're just going to end up being really good but heavily overpriced like the rest of the FormLabs products.

So I've worked in IT for around 18 years now and in that time I've worked for 2 gaming companies, I started my most recent a year ago, but I'm wondering if I should just jump ship for the tech industry again, I'm now waiting for the layoffs in our business unit. I'm an immigrant living on a work permit and losing my job will mean losing the life I've made for myself over the last 4 years, and that terrifies me.

I used to love the company I work for but now I'm wondering if it's worth it anymore.
