Yeah there are robots, but they tend to be $500,000+ and many scientists in this field are tech luddites who are allergic to learning how to program a robot.
A postdoc will do the same work for (probably) less than 1/10 of the price AND do free overtime. Better yet, you can sometimes get students to do this work for free/nearly free.
That's also assuming they are able to get funding to cover any of these costs.
As for using a multipipetter, it just depends on the experiment and you can do ~10 at once.

I don't post my dissent because I have no sense of humor or because I expect people to universally agree with my own sense of humor. I posted this because I hoped some people would think, "huh, maybe I shouldn't post jokes that further propagate the harms caused by patriarchy when there are plenty of other jokes I can make or ways I can phrase the same joke that aren't at the expense of those around me."
Maybe I want to live in a world where women are treated with the same respect as men. Part of making that change is not continuing to use language that is harmful towards them and calling out others for it when I see it.

If you want recent coverage from everyday people, you can find social media posts from Chinese tourists. You can always Look at the state media. You already know they'll be bias in their own favor, but that doesn't mean everything they publish is fake. Look for other sources for confirmation. Most of it will be boring reports, which is less likely to be exaggerated.
