We need centralised R&D free from market influence for the benefit of all life.
So you're actually saying holding on to capitalism past it's useful point was the mistake because it created the conditions for these things to happen?

It's important that you also read the section titles.
Yeah, I feel like a good middle ground is to cite your previous work in the context of "as we previously reported," but maybe that's just based on something that was ingrained in me by academia. It seems tacky. My boss has no problem with it though, he's like, "idgaf, more citations, more views, higher impact."
If I could know how much money it costs them and it was high enough, I may be willing to make that sacrifice.
Fuck, that goes hard.
Cool share, I'd never heard of this.
THAT'S why it's been so rainy lately.
What a long-winded, asinine answer. Using scientific jargon doesn't help communicate your meaning to the layman when you do not bother to actually explain the meaning of the jargon you use.
Put the effort in to explain the science properly. If you can't, then you don't know the subject well enough. If you won't, then you shouldn't be communicating science.
Still won't make it funny.
Please explain to me how it works then.
Is it really just a simple matter of living within your means when you are constantly bombarded with the idea that you are inferior for not having that shiny new thing and banks are constantly trying to push you into predatory debt schemes like credit cards?
At that point, I don't blame people for not having a retirement fund. This is a systemic problem, not an individual failure and we should look at changing those systemic failures rather than pointing the finger at people and saying, "you fell for our bullshit and now you are poor. Shame on you!"
This was bait to get you to mention the podcasts you are listening to so I could either say "me too!" or find something new to listen to.
What you said about propaganda was reminiscent of Amy Westervelt's research in "Rigged."
