I sure hope so, but I don't see much changing. I guess we'll see by looking at where Reddit is at business-wise by next year. People were saying it was doomed last summer after the 3rd party app fiasco, and their daily traffic has only gone up since then. I've long since lost all faith in the masses making the best choices for themselves.

Does Look Mum No Computer count?

Now I'm picturing a cop trying to walk all confidently out of his squad car during a traffic stop while wearing a frilly maid outfit.

No, no, it's for people named BEN. Don't fall for their trick to get you to spell your name in all caps, that's how they enslave you!

My wife didn't even do drivers' ed, since she didn't get her license until after high school. She just had to pass a test and got her license that day. I did the whole drivers' ed thing, but it barely prepared me at all, and I ended up getting into 2 accidents while still in high school since I just didn't have the experience to deal with unusual situations, and I locked up when I happened to get into a couple dangerous situations. Luckily we're both experienced drivers by now 10+ years later, but yeah, those first few years are basically just learning how to drive by driving, being a danger to everyone.

I mean, I'm only 30 and my parents are boomers. They weren't even that old when they had me. - I'd imagine there's plenty of early-20's kids running around with boomer parents.

Too late, I already sent it. She loved it.

Yeah, it seems to me that Democrats are in a pretty nice position for themselves - they can claim to be for the people, while lamenting that they're unable to make the big changes that the people want due to conservatives holding them back. If they didn't have that excuse, they might actually need to coordinate those changes, which they likely don't want to do.

This is the real issue. Sure, science and religion COULD exist at the same time, but science is all about not making assumptions where you can instead build data, and heavily distrusting anything you can't build data for. Religion is specifically designed to never be tested. It can never be meaningfully supported or negated through observable mediums, which makes it the antithesis to science regardless of their potential coexistence.

I feel like the title/caption is the setup and the picture is the punchline.

It's saying that it's really bad that America has fallen so far lately.

Abortion rights are gone, voting rights are being messed with, a racist misogynistic president has a significant chance of winning the next election, gay rights are in peril. America isn't bad, but it's actively getting worse, so when a news article comes about about it, it's generally noting that downward trend. The news specifically talks about changes in things, not their current state. It also talks about big-ticket items, so smaller good things that happen don't get on the news when there's a bigger bad one going on. And there are a lot of big bad ones going on right now.

Americans aren't America. I'm an American, and I staunchly oppose just about all major changes that have happened to my country in the last decade. I understand that I am not my country, and the actions of my country are not my own. I love my country in the same way that I love my drug addict cousin; he makes me very uncomfortable and embarrassed right now, but I really hope he comes around eventually, because I have great memories of who he used to be. I'm doing my best to help him change, but it's not been enough.

The constructive criticism is that America should try to be less of a country where someone expects to hear bad news, and more of a country where someone expects to hear good news.

Ah, I didn't realize return addresses weren't mandatory in other parts of the world. I figured you just put yours elsewhere from ours on your letters when I saw the space where we usually have ours was blank. That certainly makes it difficult to resolve missent mail. I admire your ability to put a positive spin on the scenario, haha! I'm sure the senders are happier just continuing to believe their letters are being accepted and enjoyed.
