It's not an extreme obsession to think every day about an ongoing genocide. In fact, any less is unwarranted apathy. OP's other traits are less benevolent, but they aren't showcasing them here, so, again, they're irrelevant. If OP had mentioned even once that someone should vote for Trump in this thread, I'd agree with you, but you're the only one bringing it up here, so in this case, you're the problem.

Monsanto creates GMOs based on nothing but greed - they have complete disregard for the environmental impact of the wanton use of pesticides that their resistant strains encourage. But that's just one GMO application - other crops use genetic modification to produce greater yields or better nutritional value.

Golden rice is a great GMO that can bring vitamin C and other essential nutrients to previously-deficient areas of the world, but it keeps getting delayed and disrupted by people who think that the reason Monsanto is terrible is because they make GMO's, rather than their sketchy business and science practices they use. GMO's as a whole are neutral, and there are amazing benefits we can get from them if we understand the difference between good and bad use of genetic modification.

OP's post points out that beneficial old-fashioned GMO creation through use of selective breeding has immensely improved agricultural yield from the original source - the process of using our own observations to modify organisms on a genetic level is not new, and without it, we wouldn't be where we are now as a species.

The robot was my favorite. I liked making him blow up and come back.

I hate Biden, and I do think that voting isn't going to solve our problems, but do you really think that NOT voting is going to solve our problems? Democrats know that they're always going to me more left than the Republicans, which will be enough for most people, and that very few people are going to try holding out for leftward change that could've been voted in during the primaries but wasn't.

What we need to do is vote for Biden to prevent Trump from destroying the country in 2 weeks flat, then actually force change. Voting works great when the system works, but it's been broken for a while - we need real action now, up to and including a revolution if need be.

If only it were as exciting as the shitty startups that sell for millions a few years after being founded despite never making any profit...

It fits pretty well for people who are really bad at sex. I mean... maybe it does... who knows? Definitely not me.

No, I don't, "the population" does. I have control over myself, 1 teeny tiny sliver of the group that is "the population." If there's one thing "the population" is known to put the effort into doing, it's twiddling their thumbs. It's nothing more than a huge writhing mass of opinions. To expect it to coordinate effectively enough to make change happen is just as ridiculous as to expect all the molecules in a glass of water to suddenly converge on one side. "The population" doesn't make change, it buffers against it.

"Oh, all we have to do is get 8 billion people of different backgrounds, opinions, socioeconomic standards, and every other metric to agree on something. Surely that's a feasible task!"

Hard to work the guillotine when everyone's suffering from great stroke.

This is a great point. The results of an IQ test aren't really measuring a person, they're measuring a byproduct of that person, which is significantly less informative.

Your "non-sequitur" is trying insinuate that a person's innate sexual orientation toward certain genders mirrors an innate sexual response to certain body parts, which I don't disagree with. I find women beautiful, and in the right circumstances, I have a sexual response to that beauty. The difference lies between simple attraction and horniness.

I'm attracted to a beautiful woman wearing clothes that compliment her beauty. Do I immediately get a hard on? No. Do I become unable to function as a result of seeing her? No. Whatever reaction I have toward her beauty is my own circumstance to handle - she is under no obligation to change herself based on my reaction. I'm attracted to her, but seeing women wearing well-fitting clothes is a normal part of my day, so I don't find it overtly sexual. It can become sexual if the woman starts flirting with me, for example, but just wearing nice clothes doesn't make me horny, because most women wear nice clothes simply because they want to.

I see my wife topless all the time, and while I think she's beautiful, I don't get horny at every sight of her, nor should I. Most of the time she just doesn't want to deal with putting a shirt on - she's not trying to turn me on, and I'm not getting tuned on. This is a normal example a woman comfortable with being topless in a non-sexual situation, and a man, used to seeing that woman topless, not having a strong reaction to it. This is how all men, regardless of sexual orientation, would see breasts if women were as comfortable not wearing a shirt around men as my wife is around me. If my wife were to start teasing me and trying to turn me on, I would start getting horny, because that's the appropriate time for a person to have a sexual response to another person's body.

Just about, yeah. Good ol' route 2.

Yeah, I spent a good amount of my time as a kid in the crawlspace and in homemade box forts. I'd have loved an actual cave to hang out in!
