in my country that's exactly what is happening, they are taking the simpler jobs for much cheaper, and lot of our "native" people has/had jobs like this.

ironically, this country is among the loudest in anti-immigration in the EU, all the while they are immigrating people from neighboring countries exactly for cheap labor.

Everything gets a different, long random password. It's not a hassle because my password manager handles everything. It's bitwarden for whatever I may need to access elsewhere, few admin logins there, keepass everything else.

  • Despite these measures, many users are leaving YouTube or finding workarounds, leading creators to seek alternative revenue streams off-platform.

That is the best part of it! A very welcome change! Basically the first step of becoming an independent creator, and to being able to abandon youtube for any of them.

Headless often means software that has no graphical interface, and can run in the background. These are usually server software, or something that can run as a server.

The headless build of Factorio is just the multiplayer server, so you can't play with it, but you can run it so that you and your friends can connect and play on the same same file.
The normal build can host the server too, afaik that too allows to be started with a CLI command, but the headless version is probably more efficient when you don't need the GUI.

I don't use spotify, and I thought those are volume buttons, and did not understand where are the like and dislike buttons until I read the post. I think this is just a dumb design choice.

It's interesting to me that articles mention godot before unreal. I mean this is not the first time I see it

Being able to change volume and songs without picking up my phone from pocket is also very convenient.

Wired headsets can do that too

This is not the first post where I feel it but I love it so much that we have a lot of people on Lemmy that can talk about things not related to computers!

Honestly I prefer it this way. This means that it's a lot less likely that a bug exposes my USB devices to a random website
