I use ABP so that we can skip the less interesting +X stuff.

One of my players is very into crafting, and they work as a group to be able to afford things, so one of the best treasures I can give are uncommon or rare items, or even just the formulas.

I tend to focus more on fun than utility items, though this varies. And I like to give out thematic stuff. Recently they fought a Skuln, which is described as having adamant claws and teeth. But it has no listed treasure, so I gave them adamantium chunks as treasure from scavenging the body.

Not breaking at all. Heck, alchemists get to use crafting, and a class feat can be used to make Nature the skill check. You should probably look at Herbalist archetype for wording.

From a GMs perspective, there are occasionally mobs who are trying to hit above their level, and have nothing better to do than go all out on their attacks. I usually have them switch to their agile attack for their second and third attack, because they are trying hard just to hit.

It seems like a good idea to me.

I completely ignore the activation action for magic ammunition. You are already spending an action to fire it, and burning money before finding out if it hits, and then there is usually a save after that.

Oh, my players are going to be disappointed if is still capped at three. That seemed like am interesting potential to have a lot of points, and more motivation to get the level 12 feat.

Sparkling Targe seems the obvious answer to me, given that you have a natural weapon available. Starlit Span also works when using 1-handed range weapons.

That said, you can't generally use items for Spellstrikes, though there is a feat that lets you use scrolls.

The problem is that you don't cast directly, you activate the item, and that activation casts the spell for you.

The flow is spellstrike->cast->attack

An item is Active->cast(from item)

Spellstrike doesn't have the opportunity to activate an item, as that is a separate Action.

Mind, if I was your GM, I would allow it with a Tengu Feather Fan, as other races have innate spells, but not with other items. But you will need to talk with your GM about that.

I admit it gets confusing. At the time we ran into each other over on Reddit, I was living near Brisbane, CA, and he lives in the vicinity of Brisbane, AUS. We both play D&D/Pathfinder, both subscribe to random interesting things like r/etymology, etc.

So he is my Australian Doppelganger. :)

I do not know, sorry. I just wanted to point him out in general as he is my other go-to on YouTube.

Though there is a third that might be useful for your players to understand certain parts of the system. Frizz is the name.

https://youtube.com/@nochessyfrizz

He does short, generally very focused videos. I know you are converting your whole group, so I figure a bit of extra help could be useful.

The Rules Lawyer is also pretty good, though his delivery is a bit drier.

Some of the rage powers make it a bit more complex, like a feat that lets you use a rage-tagged ability for free when you activate rage, etc.

Another Foundry + A/V on discord.

I also use discord for game related threads.

I've recently discovered a similar program called Guilded, which seems to have all the same important creatures of discord, but better organized (and a larger file share limit). We have not moved over, but I've been spinning up and organizing a server there, just in case Discord craps the bed like Reddit did.
