Well, in Gibson's case, he's been a loon for a long time now. This isn't a recent development.
Where my crepuscular homies at?
True, but this example feels a lot less malicious than other "young generation" humor. It's mostly just poking fun at the stark contrast between the youth culture of now vs. the 1980's, rather than just denigrating the modern youth.
My grandfather is buried in that cemetery. He joined the army to stop men like him from taking power.
The disrespect is palpable, he might as well spit on my Abuelo's grave while he's at it.
What center?
Between the Democrats and Republicans? The GOP that wanted to brutalize Pelosi on the steps of the capital? The GOP that laughed when a man with a hammer nearly murdered her husband with a hammer? The GOP that wants to roll back all civil rights to a time before the revolution? The GOP that wants to install a fascist dictatorship?

Because she's a woman, female, and as far as the right is concerned, her sole purpose in life (besides serving under the men in her life) is to bear children. They think women are breeding cattle, property of the primary man of their life.
The Finns are all too aware of what far-right government means, they're living next to it, and it's threatening their very existence.
Congratulations on the Fins voting against barbarism! Here's to hoping the upcoming election here in the USA follows suit, and continues to reject reactionary nationalism.
I think we've done it, we've finally hit "It's gay to have sex with a woman".
It was bad, but mind the cultural context they it was widely considered the "southern" flag (by southern whites) which just happened to also have been used by the Confederacy. There was a century of pro-Confederate propaganda we were raised under, and we've only recently reckoned with that.
A lot of those same people who flew it when they were kids decades ago denounce the thing today, thankfully.
