When I was toying around with making my own voice assistant, I used Mimic 3 and found that to have quite nice voices.

Sweet, then I can pre-boil water the day before, freeze it down and bring it on a plane, so that I have boiling water mid flight.

I run Calyx on a Fairphone 4. I am very satisfied with it. I have a single app that breaks (a banking app - doesn't pass SafetyNet I presume, but I don't get any help understanding the problem other than a generic "Something went wrong" error). All other Google Play apps I have installed has worked, and have been installed through Aurora Store. This has had some ups and downs in terms of performance - there was an issue some time back where their accounts were rate limited to the point the store was unusable for some time. So if you are very dependent on accessing Google Play store, you should keep that in mind. I try to find FOSS apps I get through F-Droid when I can and only use apps from Google Play when I have no other choice. Mind you, I have not logged in to a Google account to access any paid apps through the Play Store, so I don't know how well that works.

Android Auto I don't think you will get to work though.

Ah, that explains it. I removed the "Start time" field for tasks because I never used it, and then forgot about it.

How can you control duration of calendar entries?

Have you considered LunarVim?

This looks cool, didn't know it was still going strong. Last time I played Freelancer (vanilla) was during my military duty almost 15 years ago, when stuck on night duty. Brought it in and played with some of the other soldiers. It was a fun time, but we didn't get too much into it then unfortunately.

So I've gotten nowhere for a long time. But as so often happens, just as I ask for help, new ideas start popping into my head. I got a hold of a copy of his collected works and searched for 'intelligence' (not a difficult strategy to come up with one would think...). Found it in the essay on Henri Beyle in Books & Characters from 1922. Leaving this up in case there is any interest, but I won't be offended if someone removes it.

Hi guys, how's it going? I'm trying to identify the source of a commonly cited quote by Lytton Strachey that goes as follows: "Perhaps the best test of a man's intelligence is his capacity for making a summary."

Searching for this serves me countless results from quotes-websites, with no reference to where it was written / said and when. Do any of you know this? I'm beginning to wonder if it really is a genuine quote.
