Isn't voting a way to participate? Is there a way to semi-lock the community instead so random drifters don't come in a vote bomb?

Neo-liberals will blame literally anyone but themselves. Biden should have fucked off earlier, maybe, but that was a tiny part of a much bigger problem with that party.

Your borderline illiteracy makes me wonder if you're actually in school or just some basement dwelling bottom feeder trying to understand how anything outside of your dumpster impacts anything.

Then do something. Get off your keyboard and do something. Prove me wrong. Please, I want you to. But you won't.

This is a take I actually agree with you on. Complacency is this country's biggest flaw and why shit has cranked so hard to the right. But people need leaders with plans and social skills. In the same breath of saying inaction is deadly, so is unorganized action. That's how movements die. Remember occupy Wall Street? Favorite example.

Cool bro what a sound plan. I bet you feel important. If you want to actually try and implement change you need to either organize with a plan, leadership and support. Or you need to link up with orgs that exist. This kind of keyboard warrior justice is unbelievably irritating to see.

Bullshit like this always pisses me off. You look at the comments, no plan, no organization nothing but more pretty words. Keyboard jockey neo-liberals.

If you want to "resist", go outside and organize with existing groups and participate. Don't just talk about how cool it would be if we "stuck it to the man" and leave it there. Just saying "we should strike" doesn't mean a fucking thing. Lots of people, myself included, can't afford to strike. I could lose my job, then my home. Get real dude. Don't just make half assed posts without any plans or actionable steps to jerk yourself off.

When has that literally ever been the case in any context? Tf you smoking?

Civilians did thwart an army. Look at the middle east. We didn't win shit, we just left.

[-] bluejay@lemm.ee 6 points 5 days ago

Definitely part of it for sure. Part of a larger machine to weaken and stupefy the population.

[-] bluejay@lemm.ee 19 points 5 days ago

Exactly this. The "left" has consistently shifted right to pander to voters who don't like them. They've positioned themselves to be lame ducks across the board. Their "moderate" stance is basically taking it up the ass when someone tells them to assume the position. Kamala was/is and will always be weak. Biden was a do-nothing geriatric patient who was too afraid to even defend an ally, Ukraine.

The "left" have shifted right so hard Nixon would run as a fucking democrat.

People are quick to forget the second amendment exists for situations like this.

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

"being necessary to the security of a free State" being the key point here. I find it ironic that every time anyone tries to pass any gun legislation the right cry foul saying they need to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. Then literally elect an outspoken tyrant. Neo-liberals (diet conservatives basically) are so busy jerking themselves off about how great they are, forgot why the second amendment exists. Despite all the cries for help, scared of fascism, they did nothing to actually prepare for the perceived threat. If it came down to it, toe to toe, left vs right, they'd get slaughtered. They're afraid of guns.

Now am I saying we need a violent coup d'etat? Nah. But some people are wholly convinced Trump is going to go full on fascist. Do things like invoke the insurrection act, declare martial law and suspend habeas corpus. To those people, y'all need to rethink your stance on arms. If it's coming and you want to stop that freight train? That's war. And you're not ready.
