But it does have an app store, one that functions similarly to Aurora. Also nothing is forcing you to use that cloud storage, use whichever you want!

Good point, I guess I should be specifically referring to Facebook's Instagram, rather than the filter and photo-sharing app it was beforehand
Not on Lemmy but there is on kbin (it's called "reputation", I think). I'm hoping it doesn't get implemented here, but I guess we can see if it negatively affects kbin content as we've got a direct comparison.
