If the NFL and college football stopped overnight there would be a lot of pissed off poor people with nothing to do on the weekends and nothing to look forward to during the workweek. I’ve been to several of the protests organized by those groups and I don’t think they are controller opposition but they seem to operate like psychological pressure release valves. We all feel like we’re doing something that will change things but until that mass of people shows up and then refuses to leave rather than dispersing after it actually won’t make a difference
