Related - are there any active lifting communities on Lemmy? I think I signed up to a couple a while back but haven't seen a single post. Looking at these comments, it looks like we have a number of people interested in the topic.

Nonprofits are allowed to make a profit. They just have to roll it back into the operation. (Can't hand it out to shareholders, board members, etc.)

Also played: Jessica Jones (my vote!)

Thanks that's good to know. I've got a Dyson V8 and I also have a fair sized collection of Bosch blue 18V stuff. But my point was really that DeWalt 20V and Bosch 18V (for example) is the same number of cells and same pack voltage at different points in the charge cycle. It's just that one is marketed differently.

I believe 18V and 20V lithium batteries are two ways of talking about the same thing (5 lithium cells in series, making up the battery). One refers to the nominal voltage of the pack, and the other refers to the maximum voltage of the pack. I think certain manufacturers (DeWalt, and possibly others) started using the max voltage as a marketing tactic.

I have a bit of a split response to this. On one hand, I have a workshop which is absolutely packed with tools, machines, materials and so on. I can make and repair almost anything in there. Many people would look in the workshop and assume I am a hoarder.

But as far as my living space, I love a clean, uncluttered place. I will get rid of kitchen gadgets, books, disks, furniture, clothes, etc if it is not adding something useful or beautiful to my life. I have half a dozen matching t-shirts same for underwear and socks. I will regularly go through out kitchen cupboards and take things we can't/don't use to other people or food bank etc. I am a frequent visitor of the "tip shop" near where I live and things get repurposed and rehomed there. I love a clean streamlined life, I would be more streamlined if the people I live with were more into that mindset ๐Ÿ˜

My go-to is folks, but 1000 others have mentioned that already. So I will throw in "people".

"Hey people, how's it going?"

That works for me

I am here very much as a lurker for now. I am working my way through "the book" (and am also about halfway through rustlings). But I would love to see this community thrive and succeed. I will try harder to engage on posts that are relevant to me, and make new posts if/when I can.

Sounds great. I am interested and would love to follow development. I'll check out the gitlab page. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

Sorry to hear about that. But also thank you for introducing me to this game! I found a free website https://www.futoshiki.com/ and I'm playing it right now!

Thanks Joplin came up on my radar a while back but I had never considered it for this task. With a webdav sync option built in, it might better handle the concurrent granular node/block changes that I hope for, than the file-at-once style of sync that syncthing currently gives me.

Thanks. I have actually been using logseq for journals and notes, and syncing has been great even with syncthing between my phone and my computers. I just notice enough lag on the sync that I don't know whether it'll be as "realtime multiplayer" as workflowy seems to be. With workflowy I can be ticking off completed items while someone else at home is adding things to another part of the list and it just works, which is annoying because as mentioned, I would really rather not use closed source stuff.

I will set up a shared logseq graph though and do some testing. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

Hi. Does anyone have any recommendations for FOSS shopping list software for android, which has a "sync" feature so that it can be used by the whole family?

I currently rely on workflowy, and - while it works great - I'd really rather use something that was open source. Thanks in advance.
