It's definitely not not the goth mommy we've been after.

ETA: This is example 24,873 of Republicans' imaginary scare tactic actually seeming pretty damn cool if it were real.

Isn't that right in the definition of the word? They co-operate to form a word.

Cooperating means working together to accomplish a goal, sometimes by doing different tasks; not necessarily just doing the same thing and duplicating effort, as would be the case if they made the same sound.

If anything, we should be casting shade at that lazy hyphen who ducked out early instead of sticking around to make the etymology clear.

There are two types of people in the world: People who pick their nose, and liars.

Seriously though, slowly pulling out one of those boogers that tickles your brain is a unique joy.

God... I can barely remember the time before the top comment threads of every goddamned post were always lazy strings of circle-jerky jokes that you could predict before even clicking into the thread.

Is this your first time in an "unpopular opinion" thread? lol

I read it more as management had identified the issue and implemented this loud American role to get around the cultural issue of employees not speaking up. In other words, that management wants this input.

Of course, if the loud American role is being pushed by upper management on employees of lower level managers, then yeah...

That's exactly it. Cable management is a top-down design philosophy. The Borg are a collective that organically integrates biological, mechanical, electronic, and any other systems that they find useful--it's quite literally the polar opposite of a top-down design philosophy.

It would be more surprising if the Borg had tidy cable management, because that implies some hierarchy. Actually, the Borg cubes are a little out of place in that regard. Spheres or fractal-ish structures would make more sense.

Not a liar, a bullshitter.

Lying requires some respect for the truth. It implies you are trying to deceive by denying or obscuring the actual facts of the matter, but lying still involves trying to convince someone that your alternative story is true.

Trump and Co. are just straight up bullshitters. Reality is completely irrelevant, and they just make up whatever sounds good on the fly with zero regard for whether it's even consistent with what they said 10 minutes ago.

The maddening part with bullshitters is you can't even debate or reason with them because the truth literally doesn't matter to them or their audience.

Honestly put a door in front of the shitter and pull the carpet away from the tub a bit, and I'd take it in a heartbeat.

"lol" is punctuation. A carryover from a time before we had a thousand different emoji to pick from, and also when casual IM communication was not yet so ingrained our culture that conveying subtle tone came naturally. Lol
