Now this is a nice and useful breakthrough.

Pretty sure he'd be the hermit in Monty Python's "Life of Brian".

Actually really few instances of jerry rigging, but I do remember during my distro-hopping days where I used a binary gcc package to compile a more optimized binary of gcc. At the time, that felt pretty weird, but looking back I see why.

Honestly I got started due to curiosity and well, it turned out Linux was a rabbit hole and so down I went.

One thing that helped me to minimize my digital life was to uninstall a bunch of apps from my phone and only use my computer to check on those sites. The key here is that I'm too lazy to go get my laptop just to scroll through endless feeds and instead I do other things.

I have no idea, half the fun of posting is reading the comments. Being exposed to novel views and other opinions is both humbling and sometimes a learning experience. If someone wants to steer a conversation in a certain direction, it sounds like they're looking for affirmation, rather than discussion.

Bad wording on my part. I mean that we cannot even agree on the effects one more heat-trapping gas would have, and now we plan to add yet another thing that apparently caused a year without summer. Forgive me for having little faith in people that thinks we should pump some other crap up there and see what happens.

Used to live in Singapore and my recommendations are to use thin Uniqlo Airism tees or tank tops underneath your tee or shirt. Plan your routes so you know where to find aircon or fans, always walk slowly and make sure to hydrate. There are also body sheets that you can use to freshen up.
