Demi-sec pour ma part, j'évite d'en consommer mais je fais des exceptions si je sens que j'en ai vraiment envie. En gros, je m'interroge à chaque occasion pour voir si j'ai vraiment envie d'alcool ou si c'est plus le contexte qui m'y pousse. C'est suffisant pour se rappeler que c'est pas compliqué de dire non, et de faire le point sur sa conso pendant l'année.

Le problème, c'est qu'on rejette beaucoup trop d'eaux usées à proximité. Ça empire quand il y a des fortes pluies comme pendant ces dernières semaines. Un ostréiculteur du bassin nous disait l'autre jour qu'il ne pense pas que les huîtres y perdurent longtemps car il y a de plus en plus d'habitations à proximité.

Ou alors il faudrait rejetter des eaux moins sales dans la nature 🤷 On peut se dire 'cheh', mais perso je vois plus les huîtres comme les canaris utilisés autrefois dans les mines, ça témoigne d'un niveau de pollution de l'eau qui augmente.

Le sujet est vraiment intéressant et ça m'aurait plu d'avoir un avis éclairé à contre-courant de la pensée majoritaire sur lemmy/reddit mais l'article ne parle pas du fond du problème, dommage.

I used to be a vim fan but now I only use it for modifying files over SSH. Other than that I code with an IDE, you can't beat all the plugins and linters with a in-terminal editor. A colleague still codes in emacs and its code is dirty af.

Developing new drugs costs millions and can lasts decades, especially because of clinical trials. Without IP protection, the company making the effort to find new drugs would go bankrupt (the price of newly found drugs must also pay for other drug research that did not succeed). I don't know how it works in the USA, in France the system is that that the IP protection lasts 10 years after releasing the drug on the market, then other companies can copy it. And during this 10 years period, the price is regulated by the government.

Do you use a linter? I switched to Ruff several months ago and it is amazing, it finds many defects and runs very quickly (even on huge disgusting legacy files)

I like this idea, I had never thought about it this way. But it would be hard to implement, what about owning things that does not physically exist? (Like a company)
