Example 3: Best, um, Discourse

NSFW'ing stuff isn't a particularly y good way to hide spoilers, btw (it's not the same as it is on Reddit)

It will (probably) blur the image for anyone who's set their account to view NSFW, but the majority of members here just won't see the post at all.

To the extent that spoiler tags are supported, it might be better to include images as an inline link, surrounded by spoiler tags.

Test:

I spent some time being "funny" at shittymoviedetails yesterday, which illustrated 2 things to me today:

  1. Creating Content is a good trick for driving up subscribers (18% in one day, so the 4.22% average demonstrates how in the doldrums it was)

  2. Visiting it from a instance from which nobody had subscribed showed me all the posts, but not of the lovely upvotes and comments. So things may appear deader-than-are if you're the first person from your instance clicking on one of these links.

Interesting. My source is obviously anecdotal and from another country. Is it verified that Buffalo tribes always thought this vs. being influenced by European colonisers?

(I don't want to fall into the trap of thinking older civilizations didn't have the same gender hang-ups as modern ones.)

I disable them individually as them come up, but it's a pain, and can see why people just Death Star the lot of them (is "death star" a verb?).

As the author of a bot that I hope is useful though, it's kind of a bummer.

Just to mention: if you click a link, and it shows "No Posts", it's just 'cos no-one from your instance has subscribed yet.
If you look at Community on it's own instance, rather than yours - aka "the logged out version" - it'll show the activity.
I don't think I can link to that version though, without getting clobbered by the 'community-link-fixer-bot', and starting Bot War 3.

There's some sticky posts for this community - on the importance of initially populating a community, and providing links (I've no idea where 'protest' is hosted)

Thanks. Subscribed.

The Name of the Wind is a brave first recommendation though. A little joke: for George R R Martin's unfinished work after he dies, Patrick Rothfuss has already been selected as the author to also not complete them.

Perlman specifically mentions $27 million, and it's known that Iger's deal with Disney was for $54 over over 2 years. Maybe he's not the only CEO earning that, but he's the one that most people would associate with that figure.

There was a point (only a few days ago really) when browsing All was a way of discovering new communities, but now, if it's not memes it's auto-generated bot content harvesting link from HN or wherever.

Everyone became convinced that 'old memes' were the new thing (possibly in response to the popularity of Antique Memes Roadshow) and they swamped out everything else on All

Synopsis: Nick Fury is so distanced from humanity he can no longer appreciate a full English breakfast; Gravik is so evil, he puts a bit too much sugar in his coffee.

Questions: did that teenage boy really just call his dad 'Daddy'?
Is it even his real dad, and - if not - why did the Naval Commander care what happened to the boy?
Where's the Skrull heart again? They seemed to making a point about shooting that guy in the left of the chest, but then the next Skrull is shot in the right.
Where did G'iah go to spy school? Was is Hanna Barberra Spy School?
Why am I still watching this show?

Was this question really asked three years ago?!
(Maybe I'm reading it wrong or there's an interface bug)
