That change only nerfed Adblockers and made Firefox the better supported platform for UBlock Origin but I think they talk about web environment integrety aka DRM for the web, that will break ad blockers enfirely for all sites that want to block them!

That's half true, no one cares about you in particular but they still collect everything to have a database of all thing that could possibly care about in the future, Snowden did a great job revealing that and while it wasn't state driven you can take a look at the Cainbridge Analytica story if you want to know what's possible even if no one ever cares about you specifically, keep in mind that that's even possible with very outdated technology by todays standards!

Have you ever touched a Google phone? You CAN'T uninstalled preinstalled apps on ether of them, if you don't root your device third party app stores suck, the law allows you to get rid of preinstalled bloat, messager interoperability is included and so on, that's a huge law and the first against silicon valley giants with enforcment that will actually hurt them!
