htop, distrobox and in some cases Flatpak!

Edit: after reading the comments I want to add curl and git, seriously, why aren't those a default?!

A german Youtuber made a great video about that titles "not AI will replace you, your boss will"

I actually read their privacy policy, that's a great staeting point, well and their lack of E2E encryption is a exception for chat apps nowdays too!

They literally launched a /e/OS version the same day...

Pro tip, Izzy has a faster update cycle than the official repo so it's a great option for WIP apps even if they are available on both! ;)

Well and a faster boot time but it's definitely a learning curve and not really worth it unless you want to try a Distro that ships something else by default (E.g. Alpine).

What a surprise...

For everyone who is too lazy to read that too: It's basically the british version of chat controll and aims to bypass e2ee but with even worse filters! I recently listened to a great interview that detailed the (at least to me) most scarry usecase, apparently they also want to scan for "positive depictions of arriving refugee boats" whatever that's supposed to mean!

Systemd is easier but also slower, it dose a lot more than just a init system and many dislike that. I have used both and it's cool to see E.g. PostmarketOS boot but systemd works really well nowdays too and the actual backlash is mostly from it's early days.
