He wants the war to end and doesn't care how. He wants to be seen as a peace- and dealmaker and doesn't care about the details. He also respects Putin because he is what Trump wants to be. At the same time, however, it's easy to sway Trump in any direction if you talk to him in person. He'll accept your opinion as his own until one of his aides tells him otherwise.

I think it's worth mentioning that the games got a fully fledged prequel with "Thief: The Black Parade" in 2023. It's a total conversion mod of Thief 2 that is so well made that it's basically a new game. I can really recommend it. I think I even liked it more than the base game
