That's an unappealing option but I'll consider it, thanks

I use the Google Messages app and I'm aiming for something like this:

  1. I add a custom field called Timezone to my contacts and put in GMT+9 or whatever (I have a friend who's moving to Japan)
  2. This theoretical app scans for the time zone field for each member of a chat
  3. The app draws over Messages, displaying the time for every time zone it finds in the members of the chat

Does something like this exist? I haven't had luck finding anything.

If I remember correctly, it wasn't the cameras, it was the microphones. It was able to recreate 3d scenes with some kind of sonar algorithm (probably by combining the microphones from multiple people in the same room?) (I actually really liked Batman using sonar). 3d images from microphones still sounds farfetched but, may actually be possible soon

My first thought was that, because they're being investigated for training on data they didn't have consent for, they reverted to a perfectly legal version. Essentially "getting rid of the evidence". But I think something like your second bullet point is more likely.

Another useful tip: because the conversion rate of 1.609 miles to kilometers is so close to the golden ratio (1.618), you can use the Fibonacci sequence to estimate a conversion.

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ...

5 miles is about 8km, 8 miles is about 13km, etc
