It's only been 3 months since his last update, he did the same with his Reddit version, it'll get no updates for ages then all of a sudden he'll be back with the 10 new features along with big fixes out of nowhere. Hopefully that's what's happening here.
Lemmy.world sucks, it's constantly down and they block communities people want to federate with, and leave communities federated people want blocked.
I find it easier. It's also safer, backing out of a space you're more likely to hit someone walking or driving past. If you find reversing in to a space hard then maybe you shouldn't be driving a giant metal death machine.
So you can end all phone calls like this
I just use 7zip to make .zip if I think the person I'm sending it to won't know what a .7z is or how to unzip it.
Are there any good dumb EVs? No internet features, no tracking, just an electric car I can get in and drive?
I constantly see features built in to the car but artificially locked behind a paywalls, like heated seats or even speed, software that tracks you or staff able to watch you through cameras.
I just want a car.
(Plenty of modern ICE are the same, I dislike them too)
I found all of the prior Lemmy apps to either be missing something, clunky, or buggy. The one I liked most was Voyager/Wefwef, but even then it was missing stuff.
Now Sync is in beta and has bugs, but thanks to past development from Reddit it's already so much more polished than all the others, my Lemmy usage has gone up considerably, I've barely touched Reddit today. It does have ads, but they aren't visible when using DNS Adblocking.
Why do you care if someone uses Sync? Seems the only people giving a shit are those adamant on "FOSS only".
Let people enjoy things
(Also if you pay for ad removal the tracking stops, the tracking is only included with the ads)
If electric cars follow this path and aren't replaced with something else like enviro-friendly fuels, electric cars.
I don't have an electric car, I dislike how many artificially limit things like speed, it shouldn't be a paid upgrade if the hardware is capable, the amount of tracking worries me too, like Tesla staff could see through your cabin cameras.
I'd rather have environment friendly fuels that work with older cars, even if that requires a new ECU+Fuel pump.
Yes it contains ads. I'd rather have a single purchase.
But, DNS adblocking does remove the ads, just leave a grey box. It's also definitely far more polished than any of the other Lemmy apps right now.
No. It's from Special Alphabets 4. https://twitter.com/tomwarren/status/1683428660915625989?t=61yiSztLYwYk44zLQ1HVrw&s=19
Controversial take, I don't think mods need to be paid. You don't have to be a mod, you're actively choosing to be a moderator. If you aren't getting paid for your work and dislike that, then don't do it. There's always going to be someone willing to do it for free, like a hobby.
