it allows you to write graphics code in a backend-independent manner (supporting vulkan and metal for example), looking a little closer, it looks like a nice level of abstraction over various rendering backends π

i kinda agree with /u/u_tamtam, it's standard practice to not change titles when posting articles to link aggregators, so most users (reasonably so) operate off of the assumption that the titles aren't altered, this gets esp confusing, when ppl change the headlines only slightly
imo it's good to have a clear line separating the article (with all its potential biases and misrepresentations) and opinions/commentary of the user, esp when lemmy allows link posts to have an attached text segment π€·ββοΈ
your comment is clearly formulated in a way so that my reply to it should give my reasons why i believe russia is likely to invade ukraine, which isn't bad in any way of course (formulation, not invasion), but, i'm afraid there's not much i can offer besides the existing satellite pictures, convoy footage, articles and other news coverage, intelligence of other countries etc, which you no doubt have already seen

the most infuriating aspect of electron, is is that multi-billion (and even multi-trillion) dollar corporations think it's ok practice to release desktop clients using electron, like wtf, each one of them can hire ten teams to build ten completely new desktop toolkits, let alone just design their applications to use native system tools π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
if both instances are federated with each other, you can simply copy the url of the community on another instance and paste it into the search field of your instance, then click on the community that pops up
from there you can subscribe to it to see posts from it in your feed, upvote/downtove/make posts and comments
It really bothers me that not needing a phone number for registration is now a feature, and not a basic requirement for anything claiming to be anonymous/private...
