As this started happening more and more throughout the years, I’ve often wondered if it was me, if I was so out of touch, but it turned out it was really the children (redditors) who were wrong.

Beau (of the fifth column) has a cool shirt that says something like "Beyond these borders do not lie a lesser people."
People aren't illegal.
Why would devs remove something like this, at this time? Is it causing huge problems larger than the problems removing it would cause?
Makes me wonder if the devs are being paid to cripple Lemmy. This is where open source shines, we don't have to be held hostage to one product/service.
Yes, but it would take more work specific to this problem, which if it's not a widespread technique would be viewed as impractical.
I'm loving the innovation in the fediverse, and all the people seeing issues, bringing them up, and people at least attempting to fix.
The fediverse is the real internet, it's not a company providing a service. On the real internet, once something gets out there, there can never be a guarantee that it's taken back. Even on Reddit, once you post something, Reddit might fully delete it but someone out there may have copied it.
I sure hope there's a large group of servers that refuse to federate with servers run for profit. I didn't come to be a product and be manipulated with algorithms.
I will remove myself from any servers that federate with Meta.
I think we need to take full advantage of this and get them to take down companies for us. Doesn't matter if it's easy to prove wrong.
Have to pay extra now to pump septic waste straight into other rooms.
