Haha that’s awesome. Might be fun to set it up so that shows I haven’t watched get stored on a ram drive or the m.2 and then transferred over or something.

I’m actually not the OP, but that’s interesting about the synology. I have an older 918+ that’s still running really well for me. Running plex, home automation, and as a Time Machine backup with no issues. They’re great little devices.

Anything in particular you’re using that much ram for in a Synology? That’s a sick setup regardless.

I’m running mine on a t3.small AWS EC2 instance. Added an extra drive for storage. Haven’t setup backups or anything yet as it’s just me testing for fun. I’ll probably just have it backup to S3 (single region infrequent access) a few times a day if I decide to stick with it. Less than $10/month right now which is fine with me for now.
