How much did big olive pay you to say this

For torrenting. I am not aware of them exposing users but people were saying that if they get hacked or cracked down by the police it may get problematic.

RealDebrid Payment (lemmy.world)

Hello people, I've been thinking of getting a RealDebrid account thanks to the recommendation of some folks here but people are saying that the RealDebrid is keeping logs on their users so I am trying to get an account using a VPN. The issue is that if you are using a VPN the only payment option is through Coinbase which I have no idea how to use.

My question is that how have you folks have paid for it anonymously and what you'd suggest for the payment.

Oh nevermind, it says something like the amount in local currency will also be displayed. I somehow interpreted it as price varying depending on the country. Here's the original text if you are curious:

You can find all of our premium offers here : https://real-debrid.com/premium

All our prices are in EURO (EUR - €) but it is also displayed in your currency based on your current location. If you want to double-check, you can convert them in your currency with this website : http://www.xe.com/

Informations :

  • Additional fees may be applied by your bank if your bank account is in another currency (for currency exchange)
  • There are no recurring payments (one time payment only).
  • Days are cumulative, it means that if you still have remaining days, the days you buy will be added to your current number of days.

It can be found by typing "price" into the help section.

Choosing the country you live in when using the VPN would be better then?

The website says that pricing is based on the country you are located in which sounds kinda risky to me tbh, is it still worth it?

Also if the answer is yes is there a country that I can pick in Mullvad that has the lowest prices? Or should I pick the country I am living it though I don't believe it exists in Mullvad

I already have a laptop with linux on it that I use to try out some stuff I see on this community. But I use the Windows PC mainly for Everyday stuff and Gaming. So I'd rather keep the current OS but thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Sorry for the double reply but do you know if this works for every version of Windows 10 or just specific ones?

Windows Activation (lemmy.world)

Hello people I have recently changed my CPU, Motherboard and RAMs so I was planning on reinstalling windows on my PC. Last time I installed Windows was probably or so 10 years ago and I can't remember for the life of me how I activated it.

Any recommendations on activating the new install? Or is it too much trouble nowadays and should I just buy a key?

The megathread recommends using Mullvad but afaik Mullvad has stopped port forwarding support recently. I've been using Mullvad for a while (albeit not for Torrenting) how safe do you reckon is it to use Mullvad without port forwarding support for Torrents?

Hey, thanks for the answer! Could you explain briefly what sonarr or radarr does? Also if you don't mind it, could you tell me which programs/practices I should be following if I were to go through with this plan no matter how obvious it is. I am no stranger to this stuff but I can't really say I have a broad understanding of it.

Hello people I recently acquired an old(er) laptop through my workplace. I was initially planning on running a Pi-hole on it but after installing it I noticed that my router is causing issues with the Pi-hole so I gave up on that idea.

Now if I were to decide on dedicating it for piracy, would I be able to do anything that isn't viable on a general use PC that would make it less likely for these piracy activities to have legal and/or financial ramifications on me? Or would it be no different than using the PC I use for my everyday stuff?
