Satire does not require satire these days.

This is the thing the fascist supporting members of the public need to understand: that everyone gets thrown under the fascist bus and nobody earns safety by cooperating with it. Not even the upper echelons of fascist leadership are safe. Fascism ultimately means that everybody is in great danger of death no matter who they are.

I am really sick of fascism! We haven't learned the lessons and I'm not even sure we can any more. Human beings have probably been dealing with fascists forever and will need to remain vigilant until the end of time. This year has been educational and not in a good way.

I will die before I will be quiet about it, but we're all on the list anyway so whatever.

The shitter is that Britain is a few years behind the USA. Tr*mp will be gone, but Britain will continue to elect fascists beyond that. We haven't even started here yet and we're the originators of the problem. Ugh!

Unfortunately these things do require more than zero fucks.

Anywhere touched by the British empire is still recovering from the experience. The East India Company were practising fascism "a merger of state and corporate power" [1] centuries before Mussolini even named it as such.

Fuck Britain, a nation of "excellent table manners and genocide" [2] we are the original fascist hellmouth and fascism has been our chief global export since forever.

I can't apologise enough for this shitty nation, we are trying to sort it out.

Signed, A British Peasant

Quote refs: [1] Benito Mussolini: "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."

[2] Terence McKenna: "What was created by the era of the proper gentleman was excellent table manners and genocide over most of the surface of the planet."

The rest of the world can't afford for the USA to continue down this path into "Christian" nationalism.

My country (Britain) is also pretty screwed. We seem to copy what happens in the US, but a few years later with more tea and a tiny bit less Jeebus. The fascist threat is in full swing here too and I'm less convinced we will avoid going more fully fascist in the near future.

We can't ever give up being vigilant about the rise of fascism - we must dismantle it at source, inside our own minds and in our communities, on every level.

Britain is the OG fascist state - it's been our chief global export for hundreds of years, since long before Mussolini said "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power".

My life and wellbeing has always been going to be directly threatened by fascists. Everyone's is! That's why we must never give up and accept defeat without actually dying in the process.

Nobody ever managed anything by deciding up front it was impossible - that ensures defeat! If you're not dead yet, it makes no sense to give up unless you choose to stay defeated? In which case OK, if it's preferable to trying again? It sucks but you are allowed to lose all hope.

It might be a silly question but are you depressed? It's hard not to feel pretty depressed about the state of the world, and I make no judgement on someone for feeling depressed. I would be more surprised to meet someone not depressed at this point! It happens to most of us.

Sorry to hear that you've lost any hope of having an impact yourself though, that would for sure feel pretty demoralising.

I hope you won't give up forever - you are needed!

Yeah we're all wired up differently! I've noticed that weed has the "opposite effect" on me to most other people, including many ADHDers I know. For me, as long as I'm not already exhausted for the day, its my number one productivity aid - which is convenient and also pretty annoying since it's not always possible to have weed!

I think it helps me because it brings me back into my body and out of spiraling thoughts which make it harder to get things done - I'm a lot more focused. It makes me better at almost everything.

It works so reliably, for so many years, I don't even question it any more. Still, its very helpful and yet annoyingly so. It's not legal where I live.

Welp, that's a fuckin stupid idea. Next!

My hobby is collecting broken computers and putting them on a shelf for later! Your hobby sounds pretty sensible - come the apocalypse you can craft away and you'll have loads to barter with! Artists will travel to peruse your epic retro craft supply cavern!

I'll be left wondering what to do with a Pentium Core2 if I don't take action soon! I do upcycle them but right now the backlog is silly and they probably just need to go to the dump because nobody wants a midrange PC from 20 years ago.

Maybe my hobby is e-waste!? Fark! =-O

They're heating the room too so technically it's a radiator with network attached storage!
