I’ll be going to see the Las Vegas GP. I’ve never been to a Formula 1 race and don’t know what to expect from the days surrounding the race. Are there any tips you wish you knew before going the first time? I plan on going to the full race weekend and not sure what to bring to make my stay more comfortable. Also, any tips on stops I should make in that area of Vegas while I’m there?

That’s about the same model as I have (I’m using a slightly older X260) and Blender works plenty fine, even on decently demanding stuff. An important note is to make sure to reduce the default tile size to something like 256 if you’re using Cycles for rendering to prevent memory issues. Other than that, I’ve had no issues with modeling or Eevee rendering.

Assuming it allows for it, I recommend upgrading your RAM to 16GB. 8 is fine for if you’re just working in Blender, but once you’re following a tutorial and are doing some browsing while listening to a YouTube video in the background, things can start to slow down.

Wouldn’t most need to be over 50%?

Yeesh. This guy has come to the conclusion that you can’t learn how to behave normally and that’s it’s a given trait. I think I see where their lack of success comes from.

I don’t know of the community is still going with the release of Apple Silicon, but you used to be able to with the Hackintosh project. I can’t imagine you still can with the switch to ARM.
