They want an algorithm.

As much as people mock it, or know it’s the source of why social media optimizes for outrage and other unhealthy behaviors, the algorithm is what they are missing on Mastodon.

As someone who always used third party Twitter apps, and never directly saw the algorithm in my timeline, mastodon feels like Twitter always did.

I want to start using this.

Edit: I went back to discord to find the server tray/drawer the beta had disappeared. If this is the final version, I’m surprised people are upset. The drawer was the most radical change.

I wish it used the native share sheet too. On iOS it always feels like it’s done this way out of spite. To avoid the native UI. It’s funny that the same thing is done on Android.

It’s interesting. There are many songs from over the years about products the song writer likes.

I’m thinking about beers, and cars, and instruments, and various other things. Including games and movies and books.

It’s also cool how it can update frequently and fast. It seems to get small updates most days right now.
