My wife asked me to help her with her Windows laptop one day. She was stuck at the bitlocker prompt and of course didn't remember enabling it or being given a password. I was like, WTF, they're just randomly turning this on by surprise now? LOL

Luckily she was able to eventually get it unlocked by calling MS support.

I think the feature has been disabled in the latest versions of Discord. There are other site threads about it speculating that they are "testing something." Testing being a shittier app, maybe.

"We can’t afford to use shareholder money…to support an underpriced product."

I made a claim to replace a door on one of my vehicles and my insurance premium went up for an amount and time that, when I did the math, came out to the amount they paid out for the claim. WTF is the point of all this other money I've been paying you for years if you're just going to recoup your "loss" by temporarily raising my rates?

Huh, billionaire boss says unions are bad. Weird. You know, if this were true it should be trivial for a bean counter to hold up a piece of paper with all the math on it saying, "here are the company costs vs income before and after union asks are met." Of course they would have to enumerate all the executive salaries and money reserved for stock buybacks, etc so everyone can have a real idea of where all the money is going.

Carbon? Just what we were all hoping for, yet another programming language from Google. They can keep it.

They want that 50 mile radius salary market. Competing with the entire country is expensive.

Hmm, do I want to open some external site/program to see my documentation or have it already in the code in front of me?

We use doxygen at my company and I think I've only ever opened it twice in 9 years.
