Good ole xda site. Haven't messed with it for a long, long time. It is a good writeup, I enjoyed reading it, but why does the writer list RPM as a package manager? Isn't it a package format, or am I crazy?
No way. It's arch based?
You're not alone. I never use them. Too much storage. Too much fiddling to make them have the same theme as the system. AUR has everything I need.
How do you direct the article to the archive? Do you take a part of the article's URL and add it to that archive URL?
I have an Intel only 13" laptop with 1440p screen. It has a 46 wah battery. I put Ubuntu on it and it lasts forever. Checking with powertop, it idles at around 4.5 - 5 watts at 30% brightness (I don't like my screen to be too bright) and it goes up to 10 - 12 watts when I'm running a browser then dips down again once the browser is loaded up. I don't know how they do it and ON GNOME (which is known to sip so much power), but they do and I'm liking it.
I have tried it. It was actually pretty decent. You can even upgrade the screen to a higher resolution now if you feel adventurous. Or you can just install holoOS (the steam deck OS) on a smaller PC and set it up to your tv and game all day with a controller. Or you can dock the steam deck to your TV and connect any controller to it. With linux, the possibilities are endless.
Would ad nauseam work since it clicks ads for you?
Yup. Very helpful, too.
I'll look into that. Thank you
I have not. I will do it next
Yeah, Arch and what comes from it are great. I never have to worry about flatpaks or snaps or any of that. Just have my snapshots set up and I'm good to go
I've tried it in a VM and it was very buggy, so, I doubt it would reach any distro in this stage anytime soon
