I have had the same issue. For me the last few weeks I keep changing VPN servers due to them being blocked.

Thank you for all of this, but a vpn solution won't work for me as I run a VPN all the time on all my machines.

Edit: Upon looking a little on tailscale, I might consider it, seems interesting.

I do not think there is a need for that. Try enabling the annoyances filters and try the site again.

It should work, I tested it with those filters enabled.

I fas as I am aware, Ubuntu ships codecs by default.

Fedora does not ship proprietary software due to license issues.

*This is just what I know, you should fact check both.
