if I understand correctly there is no way to make FOSS AA (protocol itself is not open unless reverse engineered). There needs to be separate implementation like AA / CarPlay and headunit needs to support it. Current best case scenario is miracast supporting headunits (but this is one directional)

I like my librem5 (hardware, feel etc). Software is obviously yet to catch up (from my perspective).

I just wish as a company they upgrade (forthcoming) their communication

Have u tried soulseek in that case? U can find all music lossless.(podcasts etc I still can't find there). nicotine+ is pretty good client for soulseek.

Oh I just use swipe actions. Tap on comment and swipe left/right, there are 2 actions on each side depending on how much you swipe.

Also voyager was the only client allowing me to increase the font size (when I started using lemmy on phone)

+1 for floris, it's the only keyboard with glide typing and themes are super good.

Yes, also generally I donate different project every 6 months (instead of recurring payment to one project).

Are u trying to install on x86 or ARM? ARM has images u can use. As for x86 I didn't find distro with out of the box bigscreen configured, however there are AUR recipes - makes it easy to use it on Manjaro.

I've nano g1 and lilygo echo, both are prebuilt. However I agree bit too big, I'm looking for something without screen and small (there are devices but as you mentioned those are not prebuilt)
