When Linux boots, it does not always use the first port on the video card. Sometimes the bios will display on the onboard video, then when the kernel boots, it will change to a different video port. I find with multiple video ports, its best to plug in all of them till you figure out which ones work. Nvidia is not well supported, and most video cards have problems in Linux. Generally, if you have to use a proprietary driver, it will have specific issues. The free drivers will just be buggy. Best is to see what cards are known to work well. There are maintained, well there used to be, lists of hardware that works well. If you installed proprietary drivers, they are often difficult to remove. There is not always instructions on how to uninstall. So part of your problems might be the drivers.

So that would be just a script in Linux. Bash, the shell for the command line, allows for scripting. Its like a simple program that you can set to run at times. Might take a few tries to get it right, but a little reading and a few tries anyone could get something like that working.

Sounds like a nifty program. Is this something you use a lot? What's the use case? While I know extracting files is not difficult in Linux, there are a lot of different compressed file types. Most have some Linux alternative. Linux is different from windows, in that most things that require a separate program to be installed, are usually default operations. Most file managers offer to compress or extract in the right click menu. Try a live distro for a few days. It will blow your mind.

LineageOs is basically android without google. You can install the google stuff if you want it, or use open source alternatives like microg. F-droid replaces Google play. It gives you access to all the open source apps that do the stuff you do.

Ubuntu touch is more of a full Linux distro that has been optimized for a phone. It works. Mostly things function, but it is limited. Not a lot of support for mobile type apps.

I've used both on a few phones. I daily use lineages. I don't think Ubuntu is ready for daily use yet. I think with lineages, you could install it get it set up in a few hours. Take a week to find apps to replace the ones your used to. And you would not really notice that your on lineageOS.

My recommendations is to just install f-droid now and start using open source apps instead of whatever you are using. Slowly eliminate all the apps from google play. Take a month to see if you can live without google. If you can, switch to lineageOS. If not, at least you learned something.

Most commercials are predatory, meaning they are a bad value or take advantage of a group of people. Ie. Payday lending, pharmaceuticals, diets. Anything in that class should be avoided. Next is the selling to the wealthy. It may or may not be a good value, but it is only the wealthy that will buy it. Is. Cars, cruises, investment. If you have the money, go for it. Last is public announcements. These may or may not be worthwhile. So generally, if something is advertised, I don't buy it. But I do sing the jingles. 8-)

It might come loose if you heat the heat bed. At least soften enough to pry it off. The other option would be to finish breaking the glass. Then you could use acetone, or something to remove the glue.

You might consider a aluminum heat bed with a regular piece of glass on top. Look up heat beds on reprap and see how the diy community does it. They are cheap and easily replaced. I just print on the aluminum with painters tape. Sorry that it fractured like that, it happens. So having the glass glued down is not a good plan.

Built by the owner of a greenhouse in a suburb of the city where you could prohibit the sale of land to blacks. They ended up buying 2 more lots and building two more houses. USA, Michigan. Sadly, the title still states that the property cannot be sold to a black or mixed race. Its no longer legal, but the title says it. Other than that, its built well. Almost all the stuff done to the house after the 70s is garbage. Ie. Vinyl siding, replacement windows, counters, plumbing.
