Yeah, that's definitely a good point. But it's a minor thing. Adjusting indentation takes 2 keystrokes in vim, I barely notice it.
I really hope this happens. NFC payments are the only thing that keeps me from switching to GrapheneOS. Seeing how the situation with big tech unfolds, it's not impossible that I will decide to give up this convenience though.
I'm so excited for Cosmic!
Been there, done that. This post really resonates with me because I felt exactly like he is describing. It really fucked me up when this relationship has ended. Now, years later, I'm happier than ever. But recovering from this took me more than a year and was the hardest experience in my life so far.
I think OP is worried about keeping their charged phone on the charger just for this feature. I also heard that keeping devices with batteries connected to a charger for a long time is not good because it generates a lot of small charging cycles pushing the battery to 100% repeatedly. I'm actually curious whether that's true for the modern smartphones or not.
FWIW my Pixel has an "adaptive charging" feature that slowly charges the phone to 90% overnight and then tops it to 100% just before an alarm. It seems to be aimed at reducing this exact effect so I wouldn't be surprised if there is something to it.
Don't worry, it won't be a problem anymore once I'll fire up Android Studio and Android emulator.
It's pretty much just a metal plate with some holes, I wouldn't worry to much about it.
For me, it was surprisingly hard to find one with the correct dimensions and color (white). After quite a lot of searching I just bought the only one I found matching the criteria. It was called "PureMounts PM-ADAPT-A" on Amazon. It attaches to the monitor arm through a VESA mount.
Thanks!
This was Thinkpad E14 Gen 2. It died not long after taking this photo though.
Since you're so concerned with Jerboa quality I'm pretty sure the developer would appreciate if you volunteered for performing comprehensive quality control before each release.
I just got Pixel 7. I always disliked those Android versions modified by the manufacturers with preinstalled bloatware and tons od weird features I just never intended to use. I envied more consistent and "seamless" experience Apple users got on their iPhones. However, I didn't want to enter the Apple ecosystem for many reasons like price, moral issues, etc. The Android experience on Pixel is pretty much how I hoped it would be - much cleaner than other brands.
Yeah, I know Google is not great either but TBH I'm mostly stuck with them so instead of sharing my data and money with Samsung and Google, I can share it only with Google. Pixels have a big advantage of having the best support when it comes to custom ROMs so if I ever decide to cut ties with Google as well, I can do that relatively easily.
I never heard of linktree so I had to check it out. It looks kinda like a... "business card webpage" creator. How is that revolutionary? Am I missing something? Or was that cocaine that strong?
It's probably more prone to mistakes like that, true. But in practice I really never witnessed this actually being a problem. Especially with tests and review.
