Yup, that's what I meant. I really don't see why anyone wouldn't use it nowadays.

Well, can't say I'm surprised. I had something like that in pretty much every school I was in, just that ours were actually Gmail accounts. For non-technical folks it's an easy and obvious solution. And to be honest, it works...

Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm in the exact same boat. I would really like to use Vivaldi. I'm a sucker for feature rich applications (that a lot of people would call bloated). But I think that giving Google more power by using Chromium is just wrong. And I'm not even the paranoid type, I still use some Google services.

Off topic but I'm surprised by the amount of smart tv hate in this thread.

I have a Philips TV with Android TV. I use it for YouTube, Twitch, Spotify and occasionally for other streaming services. I actually really like the experience. Everything is a few clicks on a remote away, the UI is clean, it works reasonably fast.

I'm not going to argue about privacy though, that's definitely terrible.

It's also important to acknowledge how different is prototyping from writing production code which has to be extendable and maintainable for years by multiple developers.

Your take isn't even very hot when we are talking about prototyping 😉

Thank you!

There's certainly a long way ahead of you, but it's very interesting and rewarding! I'm dabbling in rust for some time now and I still learn new stuff constantly. I enjoy it more than any other language or technology recently though.

Nope, I'm a native Pole.

Am I happy? Yeah, I would say so. But not because I live in Poland. I don't really love or hate this country - it's just where I happen to live.

Sadly, none of this matters for most of the users.

This is not backed up by any data, but for me the experience on Chromium based browsers always seems faster and smoother, especially on modern, JS heavy sites.

Also, I'm a sucker for feature rich applications and I really like how much stuff Vivaldi and Brave have built-in. This is extremely subjective though and I know there are many people who consider all of this a terrible bloat.

Eh, sorry about that. wefwef told me to retry because there was an error while posting my comment. So I did retry... many times. I was actually sure the comment wasn't posted at all until I saw your reply.

This is actually very interesting and I had no idea. Thanks!
