I think that proof-of-work approach to blockchain can make ddos attacks much harder, but I'm not an expert too :)

Is it Cthulhu?

No, I have two different things:

  • org-mode files with schedule, diary, tasks, etc.
  • knowledge base, org-roam (orgnote). I have a single base but it contains graphs about topics and these graphs are not connected

I like that approach, because I use orgzly-reviwed on Android with a notifications. And because it is simpler to maintain knowledge base.

Yes... org-mode is more than 20 years old... It is a price of flexibility: I have a strong feeling that one can adjust org-mode to any workflow. But I do not use even a third of the org specification. There are a lot of cool blog posts like "org mode quick start" or "org mode basics", I would recommend to start from such posts, not from a documentation.

If you are doing data processing in pandas CoW allows to avoid of a lot of redundant computations on intermediate steps. Before CoW any data processing in Pandas required manual and careful working with code to avoid the case described in the blog post. To be honest I cannot imagine the case of offloading each result of each operation in the pipeline to the storage…

Interesting, thanks! I didn't think about it. But for a personal blog (without any kind of monetization) it is not an option, unfortunately, due to hosting/infra prices 😞

I guess, that https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/piracy would be a better place for such a post.

QT apps looks not so good in any GTK window environment... And they do not follow general setting about windows.

Organic Maps is nice, but working with GPX files is still very terrible. It has no direct way to import GPX files created on desktop, you can only open them from the disk, and they will look very strange, not like routes but like a bookmark. But as I see, Magic Earth has even worse capabilities for GPX.

I guess you cannot watch this one without knowledge about Gundam. You need to know at least about civil war and the role of Hathway-senior in it... Otherwise you can enjoy mecha battles scenes but you will lose a plot.

I think that if you can scale your physical qubits easily you will be able to use all the power of error correction codes. Even a thousand of physical qubits per one logical qubit should be feasible if you do not need to support superconductivity by helium coolers.
