Noob here. My last distro was Zorin (which I liked well enough). Keen to switch to Debian base. Should I jump in and install vanilla Debian or wait for Mint Debian 7? Or should I believe the DistroWatch hype and go for MX?

Would prefer Xfce environment because I'll be running it on 8+ yo laptop and and desktop.

Maybe (I won't be weighing in any further), but can we at the very least agree that Mexico isn't doing enough?

Yeah, I value the eradication of murderous scum over sovereignty. Guilty as charged.

I really like my Amazfit Neo. Okay, it doesn't charge with USB-C but I appreciate its "always on" display and retro aesthetic. Can't believe they don't make 'em anymore!

Is there a worthy successor or can anybody recommend a similar minimalist smartwatch that won't break the bank?

Bad actors are sowing distrust by implying that Signal is not secure. Always remember that the powers that be don't want the public to have encrypted comms and would love to ban private messaging apps altogether. I could also be completely wrong and Signal is in fact a fed honeypot...

The code is open-source though, and I'm hoping that individuals more learned than I would surely alert us if there were any backdoors/exploits...

On a related note: does anybody think that Nostr will ever gain real traction? Promising project, I try it again every other month but it's still pretty rough...

Also: the fact that Dorsey has funded it and is a fan concerns me.
