Looks really nice definitely gonna take a look at it.

And, did I read that correctly: the pro licence is a onetime payment and you keep the all the current features even after the licence expires?

If I have to choose between a company that freely sells and uses all my data versus a company that e2e encrypts my data and only complies with police and intelligence agency if it is specifically mandated by a swiss judge (and are fighing against it[1]), my money is definitely on the later

Is it perfect? Probably not. - Does it match my thread model? Definitely yes!

Also their privacy policy [2] allows to make a pretty well informed decision and map it against your thread model

And by the way, here's the statement of the ceo regading the activist: https://proton.me/blog/climate-activist-arrest

Have seen some mods who aren't reslly fond of it and ask users to not do it.

Reason given is that copyright handles linking different than copying of articles. (Which kind of makes sense for me)

Probably yes, I see this as well on my pihole...some devices/apps run amok if they can't reach their home and send multiple requests per second

[-] tuhriel@infosec.pub 4 points 8 months ago

I do it exactly like that, except that im connected via vpn most of the time, since my pihole is also located in my lan

[-] tuhriel@infosec.pub 4 points 9 months ago

Yeah, that's how they are named, my experience showed that the devices used whichever of the two they wanted.

I'm syncing obsidian with Drive via my Synology NAS

Basically everything where you can sync files should work.
The only downside I saw was that I had to reconfigure all clients individually (plugins, themes, template settings etc)

It somebow reminds me of the online aim-bot, wallhack etc. cheaters...

Synology NAS with DS Photo and their app on my phone... And then I activate photo backup in there And to keep Connected i use a wireguard vpn

Alternatively I justt saw, that proton drive now supports photo backup... Maybe I'll give it a spin

Jep I hate the, "you don't own anything anymore" mentality... There are some valid reasons to actually provide a subscription, but most of the times it should just be a one time payment

[-] tuhriel@infosec.pub 3 points 1 year ago

It still might help if you point it out to the orginsator... Especially if you makebit clear to them that their copyrighted slides, etc. will be part of that aswell

Ibrun my own gitlab instance where i have a repository with all my configs, scripts etc.
As well as a wiki that contains the admin guide with (hopefully) all the relevant infos in form of text and PlantUML graphs.

The nice thing is.. You can just 'code' the diagrams and use a PlantUML instance to render the graphs live
