Well in america you don't have the support structures to help that business recover from that, since insurance will try their damn hardest to not cover it, and the government isn't going to help. So the person you're arguing with is arguing from a completely different position than you. You're arguing "why are you using to force to stop protests" and they're arguing "property might be destroyed, so you have to stop that".
