Yep, that's true, the latest census was from 2021, and the figure was 3.69%.

Probably the figures weren't available to Ipsos at the time, despite the publishing date :/? Idk..

Alternative view (directly from the source):

IMO being off by around 10% or more is still quite the leap.

in essence, civil contracts is an umbrella term for two types of contracts: Contract of Mandate (Umowa zlecenie) and Contract for specific work (Umowa o dzieło). Employment contracts (umowa o pracę), which are its own category of contracts, are the regular employment contracts most people are familiar with.

Basically, the 1 major difference between the civil contracts and employment contracts is that you're entitled to benefits (overtime compensation, maternity/paternity leave, PTOs), work is done in specific work hours (up to 8 hours per day if I recall correctly) and are governed by the Labor Law (at the cost of taxes 😦), whereas the civil contract has none of those and are regulated under the Civil Code, with the benefit of having a higher take-home pay. Oh and either an employee or employer can terminate the agreement at any time under the civil contract.

The changes coming into effect at the start of 2025 concern employers not because this limits the opportunities of foreigners, surprise surprise, they don't give a fuck. They're concerned because this means they will lose out on $$$ that they save from not having to pay those benefits, and foreigners are concerned because this basically limits their options at getting anything resembling a job legally in a job market that's already in the crappiest state possible.

Hello there, are there any FOSS Android apps out there that serve as both a reader and a vault for PDFs? I want to be able to encrypt the PDF files and decrypt+read them with a single vault password.

I could just encrypt PDF files separately using the same password, but it's not really that convenient having to go through several PDFs tbh.

I want to store the PDFs on the storage of my phone.

UPDATE: Safe Space is exactly what I needed, ty @chemicalwonka@discuss.tchncs.de, will provide a review of the app later

This comes as a result of a scuffle between South Americans and Poles, with two ending up hospitalized in Śrem. Followed by this, stupid questions like "Have open borders brought gang violence to Poland all the way from South America?" (Blood) are seriously being asked and discussed.

Pictures of the situation's aftermath: Atak ostrym przedmiotem na śremskiej plaży. Są poważnie ranni [AKTUALIZACJA] (CW: Blood, albeit censored)

Latest statement the Śrem Police, Google Translated:

Yesterday, September 7, just after At 11 p.m., the Śrem Police officer on duty was notified about a fight that took place on the beach at Lake Grzymisławskie in Śrem. Police investigations into this matter were and are currently ongoing throughout the night. The police are explaining the situation and determining the course of the event in which several people took part. Two men, residents of Śrem, were taken to hospital with injuries. The police detained four men as suspects of involvement in the fight. One of these men is an Argentine national and three are Colombian nationals. They were all taken to police custody. Today, at 09.40, policemen from the Śrem Implementation Group detained a fifth man as a person suspected of participating in a fight. He is also a Colombian citizen. This man was also taken into police custody , said the deputy inspector in the morning. Kasińska.

To no one's surprise, this is a clear-cut scapegoating of all immigrants for the actions of a few, looking for any excuse to wage racist, xenophobic actions on less than 3.69% of the population of Poland.

Nationalities outside of Europe are so small, they are all relegated to the "other" row on the census .-.

Proponents of these lynch mobs will say that the data above may be a bit outdated, since there's been a bump-up on the non-Poles population (as if it justifies the proliferation of these mobs), but will omit the fact that after 2021, most of them come from Ukraine.. So that still doesn't change much of anything.

The patrol policy:

The patrol will supposedly be followed by police monitoring, as if that'd make it any better.

I was just scrolling through my youtube recommendations out of boredom and then suddenly, out of thin air, youtube's algo comes in with a rare W: The Geoguessr World Cup 2024. This is the sort of entertainment I didn't know I wanted lol.

I only managed to start watching when the semi-finals were happening and my god, it was way too thrilling than I expected it to be.

Hello, I bought my first used phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro) and was wondering what are the best practices taken before using it. I've read the reviews of the merchant selling the phone, looked into ratings and asked some questions about the condition of the phone, so I'm sure of my purchase on that end.

What about after receiving the phone? I know I would run a factory reset, aside from that, is there anything else to do?

Some of the LinkedIn Responses are direct and on-point, and also hilariously/depressingly based depending on how you look at it:

EDIT: In hindsight, I think I should've looked into posting this in a different community.. It's closer to a silly "innovation".. soo.. is this considered FUD? I also don't support smoking or vaping, especially among kids. Original title had "privacy-violating" before the "solution".
