Data protection isn't binary, and you should treat companies, products, etc. as they're and not mix subjective with objective.

But you're right, overall is Discord pretty terrible in this regard.

LineageOS is not "Google-free". The OS still connects to various Google services by default, even without Google Play Services installed.

Security and data protection wise is GrapheneOS very superior to e/OS/, but it has the tradeoff that it doesn't support MicroG which is less worse reimplementation of Google Play Services, while GrapheneOS only sandbox them and removes the priveleged access.
