Jokes aside if it was only about having a safe space for the jewish they would have taken the Jewish Autonomous Oblast but they wanted that specific region for historical reasons and that is why they would have rejected the South German State of Israel the same way they ultimately rejected the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and by shrinking the German State (East and West combined compared to the Weimar Republic) to 1/3 of their previous size you would effectively end up with some hybrid form of the Palestine problem and the Donbass problem.

Personally I would have chosen an island like Sardegna where random invasions from your neighbours are unlikely but I think at the end they'd still have resettled Palestine even if you gave them the whole of Britain.

Oh oh, I've got one too. It's not containing Asbestos but Thorium (or Radium respectively) tho.

"Doramad radioactive toothpaste"

"Creates natural freshness in the mouth!"

"Special biological healing effects by radium rays. A thousand times medically prescribed and recommended."

"What does Doramad do? Through its radioactivity, it increases the defenses of teeth and gums. The cells are charged with a new vigorous life energy, which inhibits bacteria in their destructive ability. Hence the exquisite prevention and healing effect on gum diseases. Polishes enamel to the softest shiny white. Prevents tartar approach. Good foam, new taste, pleasant, mild and refreshing. Use extensively."

Quick disclaimer: The last two quotes can be found on Wikipedia but they are not backed up with sources.

A short list of things the FPÖ is famous for:

The party fund scandal when then head of party H.C. Strache used 10 000€ party funds to purchase emeralds in "Clash of Clans" (I wish I made that up but I didn't).

Trying to strike a deal with a "Russian Oligarch" to purchase Austrias biggest news outlet "Krone" and turn it into a FPÖ propaganda machine. The "Russian Oligarch" was a bait and high ranking FPÖ politicians (like the mentioned H.C. Strache) had to explain themselves and said they were "having drunk fantasies". It caused the then ÖVP-FPÖ government to collapse.

A song containing the lyrics "Let's go! (which can also mean Release gas! - I wanted to mention that since it gets lost in translation) We'll make it 7 million!". Then minister of inner affairs Herbert Kickl (who ~~is now likely to~~ could become chancellor) reacted not by criticism towards his party, but by criticism towards the "Verfassungsschutz" (Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution) who, according to him, leaked the song. He then ordered a normal police unit, that was meant to arrest drug dealers and gang members, to raid the Verfassungsschutz and they took any evidence for far right extremism linked to the FPÖ.

Now head of party Herbert Kickl is also known for:

Calling the neo nazi group "Identitäre Bewegung" a "project worth supporting".

Claiming that horse deworming medication could treat covid.

Refering to himself as "Volkskanzler" a title also used by Adolf Hitler.

Saying that "politics should be above the law and that the law should not be above politics"

Having friends that donated money to the Christchurch mass killer and that really wanted to "meet him and drink a coffee if he visits Vienna one day".

I bet I have forgotten a lot of shit that has been going on. Let's just say the last few years have been a wild ride in Austrian politics.

Edit: as has been pointed out, Herbert Kickl is not a likely but possible option for chancellor since the ÖVP could form a coalition with the SPÖ and keep Nehammer as chancellor. It was bad wording from my side, I apologize >~<

According to German newspaper "WELT" the investment group "emodrom Group" purchased 74,99% of the Hockenheimring from the local municipality. It now wants to invest 250 million Euros (~275 million US Dollars) additionally to the 40 million it has already spent to make the venue fit for the future. Planned are the construction of a 30.000 to 50.000 m² big motorworld, an expansion of the "Porsche Experience Center" and a new hotel.

When asked about a possible return to the F1 calendar, Hockenheim managing director Jorn Teske, explained that the Hockenheimring had always had contact with F1 but that they are planning to make a "slow and serious" return. Tim Brauer, head of the emodrom Group added "We need to ensure that we won't run into a deficit." Brauer further explained that in other countries the nation or federal state is happy to sponsor F1, something that hasn't yet been the case for the Hockenheimring. "We are thinking in terms of 20 to 25 years - and not short-term" Brauer concluded.

In case of an F1 return the circuit would have to meet F1's new criteria including 4000 - 5000 VIP seats instead of the 2000 that are already in place, fan zones, places for concerts, camping spots, etc. An expanded or entirely new pit lane building is also in the talks.

Edit:

I wrote "Tim Brauer, head of the emodrom Group, explained that the Hockenheimring had always had contact [...]." but it was in fact Jorn Teske who said that so I corrected it.

Please don't get me wrong, this is not meant to be rude slander. MX Linux is not a bad Distro at all (even tho I've always opted for Debian instead) and peops are free to use what suits them best.

But compared to other Distros (like Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian or Mint) there doesn't seem to be much excitement about it. I hardly see articles about MX and I have barely seen people outing themselves as MX users which makes me wonder:

Are MX users just low key quiet, am I escaping their presence or is there a different reason for MX' high HPD score?

Btw: feel free to take a shot every time I write MX :p

Let's face it. Dude is just finding excuses left right and center. One time they said it was because "easy kernel modification could lead to cheating" this time it's because of "staff shortage" and next time it's because the planets aren't aligned.

When they announced EAC to be compatible with Linux they literally said " ... developers can activate anti-cheat support for Linux via Wine or Proton with just a few clicks in the Epic Online Services Developer Portal." (Source) and they know that the Linux community would likely tinker their way to get it working if they were to allow Wine/Proton on EAC...

Which leads to reposting, karma whoring, karma requirements and "ThAnK yOu FoR aLl ThE uPvOtEs" comments.

Personally I think the aim should be to have fun (inclusive) or enhance your or someone else's knowledge and not to brag about how much internet points you have :')

On the other hand, I sometimes like to get lost in account statistics so I'm also not completely against them as long as one sees them as values only and not as some sort of (dick) comparison.
