When you administer naloxone to someone who’s addicted to opioids, they experience something called precipitated withdrawal. One of the symptoms of precipitated withdrawal is you shit your pants, a lot.

To spare you the unnecessary details, my $80 awesome as fuck sleeping bag bravely gave his life.

And I might need to disinfect and scrub the front passenger seat of my car.

I’m not steamed about any of this. But I need to take a nap and I have no blanket or anything.

One of my friends is kinda traumatized and I want to buy us dinner or something—some kind of thing the three of us can do to take the edge off.

I also want to kick some money to the guy whose life we saved. He’s homeless just like we are. But he’s obviously in bad shape right now and I want to give him even just a thin ray of sunshine. Even if it’s just $20 or something.

My precious baby girl hurt her neck and shoulder which required a blood test, x-ray, and two prescriptions for pain management and a steroid. This puts me down just a little shy of $500. Trying this again at perhaps a more active time of day on the site, apologies for the repost. I know a lot of other people are also struggling very badly right now and spare cash is a finite resource.

I'm kind of happy I won't need to talk to my asshole piece of shit boss again, but also I blew this after just four shifts, haven't even received my first paycheck yet, and now it's that time of the month again where I need to pay to fill my Buprenorphine prescription.

I could also use some help paying for groceries for the week, even just a few dollars really helps in that regard. I'm currently flat broke, out of food, and hungry. My cashapp and venmo are both under the handle cosecantphi. DM me for zelle or paypal info.

(Also I'd eventually like to recoup the cost of the stupid uniform I had to pay for out of pocket, but I'll consider that a stretch goal lol).

As always, I intend to pay the favor forward here once I get my job situation under control. I thought that was going to be soon, which hurts, but I still have hope I'll get there eventually.

I mentioned on here previously how I'm scheduled to have foot surgery. I am still waiting to hear back from them about whether my medical exemption certificate will cover the cost of the bandages or not.

They also said I need open toed shoes to wear after the surgery, potentially for up to 8 weeks after the surgery, because bandages will be on, and closed shoes will rub against the healing wounds. The only shoes I have are trainers, which aren't suitable, and as mentioned previously on here I have no income at all so I can't buy things myself.

I can't accept cash because of the DWP, so I wondered if anyone might be willing to order some sandals for me off amazon and have them sent to me?

I would just go for flipflops, as they'd be cheaper, but since it'll be the middle of winter and I'll be able to wear nothing else for 8 weeks I was hoping to be able to get something sturdier and further off the ground with a proper sole.

Update — We were able to get my wife’s glasses fixed and get a couple warmer clothes to wear but still need help with that as well. Haven’t been able to get a good jacket but got gloves, hat, some warmer clothes thanks to a few really kind donations but still have absolutely nothing for rent or anything else and we both REALLY need warm jackets, sooner the better as it gets colder and weather gets worse.. Phone bills due also by Dec. 1st - cost us $80 to keep both on which is crucial when we’re apart/my wife is gone getting things we need when I can’t accompany her because of my inability to walk much. Rly missing the Affordable Connectivity Program 😞😞

Hey everyone, I hope we’re all holding up okay and staying strong and focused on the struggle we’re all facing collectively! I know it’s a terrible time for so many people, for our brothers and sisters and comrades in west Asia (Palestine, Lebanon, etc) and the battle we face in the belly of the beast. I know we’re all doing the best we can and I hate to ask for more assistance, but my wife Kat has recently (last night) broken her prescription glasses and has terrmible eyes - with no alternatives like contacts or the like. Everywhere I’ve looked and called that’s close or viable it could between $70-$200 and her condition can seriously degrade without them so I really don’t want her to be blind for lack of a better term for too long.. she’s also experience a lot of problems with her teeth and need to see a doctor to get a referral for a dentist if possible asap, as well as there being a possibility of a previous medical condition involving polyps. I’m supposed to be having surgery soon and would REALLY like to get her at least on track to being taken care of also and it’s going to involve a lot of transportation and amongst a myriad of other things im sure but I couldn’t estimate the cost entirely.. we’re also handling all of this from a motel room thanks to the Amazing kindness of you all that’s keeping us from being out on the street, and in both my condition (I have a leg full of metal that’s destroyed and infected and I can’t walk most of the time) and hers it would most likely result in death for us both. And not to keep adding on to the list, we live in an area that gets very cold in the winter as it is already and we lack warm clothing from boots, warm jackets, gloves, hats, etc. if anyone is in a position to help with any of this, as always, we seriously and genuinely appreciate all of your solidarity and kindness. We’re doing everything we can to seek help elsewhere but it’s extremely difficult to get around due to my mobility issues. I can’t thank everyone enough. Really. From my wife and I both. I do not like using our ethnicities to elicit sympathy, but we are both of mixed race as I am Kurdish, Palestinian, Japanese and a European mix and my wife is of Pakistani and Guyanese descent and we have lost the entirety of our families over the last few years, my entire immediate family all in just the last year, so we are without any support system whatsoever aside from the kindness of strangers and our comrades from out of state.

I reached out to a social worker at my gender clinic, and he gave me a few resources I can check out to see if they can provide me any direct aid. Things are seeming very scary and stressful at the moment obviously, but in better news, even though I'm just starting, the WFH project is starting to seem more promising. I'm still looking for a "regular" job just for the sake of security, but at least I have some source of income now.

Regarding the asshole mentioned in the earlier post... When I told my therapist about him, he definitely was sure that he sounded like a very unsafe person to be around. Honestly, I just no longer take anything he says seriously anymore, and after that, how could I?

Some car-related expenses, some groceries & stuff

The headlights (both of them) went out (brights still work, but I want to y’know fix things that are wrong like a normal car owner). Still need fix-a-flat and stuff.

I also need to get a bottle of honey and a loaf of bread so I can make the sandwiches that have been a staple of my diet recently. And some other groceries. I’m fuckin’ hungry.

Why the subtraction? I went to a concert last night, and the venue was rather distant, plus it was late as hell, cold, and my legs were sore, so I had to order rideshare.

I managed not to lose my apartment. Because of all the late fees, I ended up having to pay $940 when my rent was only like $710.

Anyway, that's taken care of and I at least have a place to stay for another month. But that was all of my money and more, and now I need to get some essentials and food. Toiletries and the like.

several days ago i had a freak storm hit us, and it knocked the power out with such drama that I am now looking at a freezer full of spoiled food. i haven't been able to cook and everything in there that's not shelf stable is useless.
