They're backed by Turkey, so they won't attack a NATO country. They will however attack the Kurds in AANES. I don't think SDF will want to make the same deal about autonomy under the same constitution that they wanted to make with Assad.

I respect the Kurds' right to self-determination. If Assad is truly gone and so is his government, then I hope SDF/Rojava declare independence and seek international recognition.

It would be very disappointing to see the users of this website cheer for ISIS-lite when they begin fighting """"""""""US-backed"""""""""" AANES.

Won't that just be next Kosovo, carved from the ruins of antiimperialist state? Though i imagine this will piss off Turkey immesely so maybe not?
